Visiting and Belonging
How early should I arrive?
The Church's Welcome Around Arrival
Arriving 10 to 15 minutes early is usually enough for a first visit. It gives you time to park, enter quietly, find a place to stand or sit, and settle before you feel rushed.
If You Arrive Late
Still come in. Many Coptic services are long, and people may arrive at different points for practical reasons. Enter quietly, avoid walking around during the Gospel or Communion if you can, and settle without drawing attention to yourself.
What To Do First
Silence your phone and sit or stand where you can see. If a parish member notices you, it is fine to say, "This is my first visit."
